Medical Assistant (FT) - Landon Center on Aging Clinic

Schedule diagnostic tests, obtain films and reports, and prepare laboratory specimens according to policy. Assist physicians and nurses with special procedures and examinations, while collaborating with the health care team to coordinate patient care plans. Perform vital signs, height, weight, and screening procedures, and document all findings in the medical record. Maintain examination room orderliness, stock supplies, and ensure equipment logs are completed. Greet patients, handle registration, process insurance forms, and enter ambulatory care charges. Submit prescriptions and refills to outpatient pharmacies, and ensure all required documentation is recorded and filed in medical charts. Requires a high school diploma, Medical Assistant program graduation or certification, and Basic Cardiac Life Support within 14 days. Full-time position at the University of Kansas Health System's Landon Center on Aging Clinic.
