Job Summary
Medical Assistant role supporting a paired Provider, educating members on using Frontier membership, coordinating with outside services (imaging, labs, specialists), performing phlebotomy and IVs, assisting with procedures, welcoming members to the clinic, following up with patients, and communicating with patients via phone/text/email. Responsibilities include restocking exam rooms, managing inventory, maintaining clinic cleanliness, and representing the facility at community events. Requires 2+ years of MA experience, clinic experience, pediatric care experience, bilingual Spanish/English, ECG/EKG, phlebotomy, IVs, injections, proficiency with EHR/EMR, Active BLS (or ability to obtain within 30 days), and CMA certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Experience working in a clinic setting
- Experience providing care to all ages, including pediatrics
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Proficient at performing a variety of tasks including electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), phlebotomy, IVs, and injections (SC and IM). A skills assessment is required as part of our recruitment process.
- Extensive experience working with a variety of Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems
- Active BLS or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment
- Adaptable and open to change in process and technology
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with healthcare providers
- Certified Medical Assistant, preferred.
