Job Summary
Room patients, obtain vital signs and reason for visit, and document symptoms in the electronic medical record. Provide injections, immunizations, and assist with procedures as ordered. Answer telephones, schedule appointments, and process insurance verifications and authorizations. Maintain patient areas by disinfecting exam rooms and managing supply inventory. Recognize urgent needs to triage care appropriately and complete referrals accurately. Requires NHA or AMCA certification, BLS certification, and at least one year of clinical experience. Full-time day shift with 40 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate
- A Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician's office or other clinical setting, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- measles, mumps, varicella, and annual influenza immunizations
- COVID-19 vaccination/booster
