Job Summary
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document symptoms in the electronic medical record while providing injections, immunizations, and assistance during procedures. Answer telephones, schedule appointments, and process insurance verifications. Disinfect exam rooms between patients, manage supply inventory, and triage urgent medical needs. Maintain patient confidentiality and complete referrals accurately. Requires NHA or AMCA certification, BLS certification, and one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate
- A Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician's office or other clinical setting, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- measles, mumps, varicella, and annual influenza immunizations
- COVID-19 vaccination/booster
- 8 Hour (days) work shift
- United States of America location
