Medical Assistant - Front/Back Swing in Orthopedics (Larkspur): Direct patient care including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting symptoms and frequency/severity, and assisting with procedures. Supports with injections, immunizations, and instrument re-processing. Administrative duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, check-in/out, processing insurance verifications, and managing referrals. Maintains patient records in electronic medical records, triage urgent patient needs, and communicates with providers and patients. Requires High school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant certification (NHA/AMCA), and BLS. Minimum of one year of related medical assisting experience preferred; re-processing/procedural experience highly preferred. Health immunization requirements apply (measles, mumps, varicella, annual influenza) with exemptions considered where permitted by law. Compensation reflects experience and internal/market equity.
