Job Summary

Schedule and input all appointments in the scheduling module, ensuring pre-procedure activities are completed and managing cancellations or additions per center parameters. Greet patients, obtain identification and insurance information, and facilitate admissions while verifying insurance and processing prior authorizations. Maintain patient medical and financial records securely, complete front-end billing procedures, and ensure accurate documentation of logs and material inventory. Perform daily encounter checks and coordinate patient transportation where applicable. This role includes front desk responsibilities such as check-in, check-out, and multi-line telephone handling at our Salt Lake Surgery center.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
1 – 2 years' related experience preferably in a medical setting with insurance billing
Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
Ability to adapt to supporting software applications
Must be available for front desk responsibilities such as check in, check out, scheduling patients
Must be available Monday through Friday
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
