Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed to support ambulatory clinics at Crawfordsville ExpressCare. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining medical history, documenting in the EMR, administering vaccines/injections/medications, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and medication reconciliation under RN/provider supervision. Also coordinates information between patients and providers, initiates prior authorizations and referrals, and handles lab testing orders and medication processing. 3 days on a 12-hour schedule (8am–8pm M–F) with Saturday rotation; benefits and professional development opportunities provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assisting program or 5 years MA experience in lieu of program
- BLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
- Certification within 6 months of hire: CMA, CCMA, RCCMA, NRCMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMA, RMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NHA, NPS (as applicable)
- Travel: Never or Rarely
