Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed for a dermatology practice in Fort Washington, MD. Responsibilities include evaluating skin conditions, updating medical history, recording dermatology-related symptoms, explaining treatments and preventive skin care, supporting non-intrusive medical procedures, educating patients, and screening individuals on entry. Ideal candidates have customer service experience, are computer literate, and hold or are pursuing a medical assistant certification; CPR certification is preferred or obtainable within 4 weeks. Required Qualifications
- Customer service experience required
- Must be computer literate
- CPR certification strongly preferred or ability to obtain certification within 4 weeks of employment
- Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs
- At least one year of Dermatology experience preferred
- MA certificate of completion/diploma from medical vocational program preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States
