Job Summary
Medical Assistant in a Gastroenterology practice responsible for rooming patients and obtaining vital signs/history, assisting providers with patient care, preparing exam rooms and maintaining clinical supplies, managing EMR documentation and patient communication, assisting with prior authorizations, referrals, and follow-ups, and educating patients on prep instructions and medications. Requires Medical Assistant certification preferred; Gastroenterology or specialty clinic experience a plus; strong communication and organizational skills; EMR experience (Epic) a plus; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; compassionate, professional, and friendly team player.
