Job Summary
Experienced Medical Assistant sought for a busy podiatry practice to support physicians in a hands-on clinical role. Responsibilities include rooming patients, preparing charts, updating histories, taking vitals, assisting with exams and in-office procedures (including wound care, injections, casting, splinting, and DME dispensing), documenting visits in EMR (ModMed and others), maintaining exam rooms, educating patients on treatment plans, ensuring HIPAA-compliant documentation, coordinating with front desk and management to maintain patient flow, and contributing to ongoing process improvements to enhance the patient experience. Required attributes include 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience, proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting, and a flexible and patient-focused mindset. Preferred qualifications include CCMA certification, CPR certification, bilingual English/Spanish, and podiatry/orthopedic experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ Years of Medical Assistant Experience
- Clinical or Private Practice Experience
- Procedural Comfort
- EMR/EHR Experience with ModMed, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Epic, Athena, or similar systems
- Tech Savvy and ability to learn ModMed EMR within 30 days

- Pay ranges from $21 to $26/hour
- Full-time scheduling includes occasional Saturday coverage
