Job Summary
Podiatric Medical Assistant provides procedural and administrative support to the physician. The role assists with procedures and patient education initiatives and maintains patient records in the Electronic Health Record. Responsibilities include bringing patients to the exam room and preparing rooms, interviewing patients to verify information and medical history, assisting physicians with procedures, safeguarding medical records per HIPAA, following OSHA safety standards, keeping exam rooms stocked and clean.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or two years of similar experience preferred
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- General computer experience with data entry is required.
- The ability to multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
