Job Summary
Conduct patient check-in and check-out scheduling, including follow-up appointments and providing necessary documentation such as care summaries and lab orders. Perform patient intake by obtaining medical history and vital signs, then enter data into the electronic medical record. Answer phone inquiries regarding procedures, facility services, and directions while managing team communication. Travel between the AD EAST clinic in Houston and the Kingwood location to report to assigned shifts. Handle physical tasks including assisting patients with mobility devices and responding to emergencies. Requires bilingual proficiency, two years of Medical Assistant experience, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum experience of 2 years as a Medical Assistant
- Vascular experience
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited health professional program
- Current BLS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in electronic medical record-EMR navigation
- Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts
- Ability to work effectively and critically think in a fast-paced and at times emergency environment
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to take constructive feedback and incorporate it into office practices
- Must have ethical integrity and a kind attitude
- Must be willing to travel to both clinic locations
