Medical Assistant

Perform patient care under physician or Advanced Practice Provider direction in an ambulatory care setting. Gathers patient data through interview and observation, assists patients with examination preparation, and supports physicians during procedures and treatments. Administers approved medications, documents treatments and patient education per policy, and acts as a liaison for scheduling specialty testing or consultations. Processes incoming and outgoing calls using clinical judgment, adheres to infection control standards, and collaborates with administrative staff on reception and discharge tasks. Requires current BLS certification and CCMA, CMA, or CMAC certification. Full-time 40-hour week in St. Petersburg, Florida.
