Job Summary
Assist physicians with medical procedures in the office setting. Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance. Requires at least one year of medical assistant experience in a clinic or physician’s office; Florida driver’s license needed for travel to clinics; high school diploma or GED required with BLS obtained within 30 days of employment. Background and drug/nicotine screening are required; vaccinations (including influenza) are required unless exempt. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office (venipunctures preferred)
- BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
- Valid Florida driver’s license for travel to clinics
- Background screening
- Drug and nicotine screening
- Vaccinations including influenza (unless exempt)
