Job Summary
Assist physicians with medical procedures in the office, managing phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance. Perform venipunctures and ensure all equipment functions correctly to support daily clinical operations. Maintain a valid Florida driver's license for travel to various clinic locations within the network. Complete required background screenings, drug and nicotine tests, and obtain or complete BLS certification within 30 days of hire. This role supports the national Clinical Trials Participation Award by facilitating access to ground-breaking therapies and research studies for patients across Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
- Clear background screening results
- Negative drug and nicotine screening results
- Negative nicotine screening results
- Influenza vaccination (or approved exemption)
- Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration compliance
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician's office
- Ability to perform venipunctures
