Job Summary
Medical Assistant assists physicians with in-office procedures, performs phlebotomy and laboratory testing, ensures quality control, troubleshoots instruments, and supports multi-site clinic operations. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and with confidential material, proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems, and willingness to travel to other clinic locations (<25% travel). Must hold an approved medical assistant certification (CMA/CCMA/CMAA/NCMA/RMA/NRCMA/MAC/NAHP) and a high school diploma or GED; BLS certification required (or obtainable within 30 days). Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred. Training and vaccination/screening requirements apply, including background checks and nicotine/drug testing as part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- BLS required (or to be obtained within 30 days of employment)
- Valid Medical Assistant Certification from CMA, CCMA, CMAA, NCMA, RMA, NRCMA, MAC, or NAHP- accredited boards
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
- One year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician’s office with venipuncture preferred
