Job Summary
Interview patients, take vital signs, and record information in the Electronic Health Record system. Prepare examination rooms, administer medications and immunizations, and perform routine laboratory tests and phlebotomy. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-rays and EKGs, while maintaining patient flow and managing front desk duties including scheduling, billing, and coding. Travel between clinic locations to cover staffing shortages and provide translation services for providers and patients. Maintain accurate medical records, inventory supplies, and ensure compliance with all safety protocols and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- MA Medical Assistant Certificate
- Two years' experience field
- Travel to different clinic locations
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong charting/documentation skills
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
- Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- CPR
- BCLS
- OSHA
- Phlebotomy
- First Aid
