Job Summary
Medical Assistant supports patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a medical provider. This role assists with non-invasive medical procedures, prepares and cleans exam rooms, handles patient intake and scheduling, coordinates referrals, verifies insurance eligibility, maintains supplies, and educates patients on medications and health topics to ensure efficient clinic operations and quality patient service. Licensure/certification reimbursement and tuition/student loan assistance may be provided for eligible roles; BCLS certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
- Licenses and Certifications: BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or ASHI required
