Job Summary

Conduct multi-site coverage across four DFW-area clinics, rotating between front office and clinical duties to fill staffing gaps and support high-volume days. Greet patients, manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle billing tasks while performing clinical procedures such as vitals, injections, and specimen collection under physician supervision. Document all activities in the EMR, maintain infection control protocols, and clean exam rooms between patients. Travel daily between Dallas, Colleyville, Ft. Worth, and Frisco locations with a valid driver's license, adapting quickly to different clinic environments and schedules. Mileage is reimbursed per company policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office or clinical setting
  • Primary care/PCP experience
  • Prior front office / patient scheduling experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of basic nursing principles, clinical protocols, and medical terminology
  • Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, EMR systems, and medical practice management software
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel daily between clinic locations within the DFW metroplex
  • Valid driver's license
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to different clinic environments, teams, and schedules with little advance notice
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent customer service, phone etiquette, and communication skills
  • A compassionate, patient-first approach and a professional, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to maintain composure and sound judgment while moving between administrative and clinical tasks
  • Up-to-date certification (if applicable)
  • Compliance with all infection control and safety requirements
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Must be able to use a variety of office and clinical equipment, including phones, PCs, fax/copier, stethoscope, and other medical equipment
  • Willingness to submit to annual TB and rubella screening and/or other immunizations per OSHA guidelines
  • Hepatitis and Flu vaccination (or proof of prior vaccination)
  • Subject to a valid driver's license and motor vehicle record check

Desired Qualifications

  • Primary care/PCP experience
  • Prior front office / patient scheduling experience in a healthcare setting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Hands-on clinical competency (vitals, injections, specimen collection, and other MA duties as signed off)
  • Experience with EMR proficiency
