Job Summary
Manage patient intakes, collect and process lab specimens including venipuncture, and record vital signs. Prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during visits and office procedures, and perform EKGs and point-of-care testing. Sterilize medical equipment and instruments while assisting with data entry. Work 5/8.5 hour days from Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with reliable transportation required to travel across multiple Suffolk County locations. A Medical Assistant Certificate and High School Diploma are required.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certificate
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations
