Job Summary
Medical Assistant Float at Franciscan Health in Dyer, IN. Supports multiple ambulatory clinics with clinical duties under RN/Provider supervision, including rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining comprehensive medical histories, documenting care in the EMR, administering vaccines, injections, and medications, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and medication reconciliation. Coordinates patient care with providers and staff, initiates prior authorizations and referrals, processes samples and refills as directed, and serves as a liaison between patients, coworkers, and providers. Travel to surrounding offices up to 20%; day shift, Monday–Friday, no weekends. Sign-on bonus may be available; competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assisting program (required) or 5 years medical assistant experience in lieu of program
- BLS - American Heart Association
- RMA - American Allied Health
- CMA - American Association of Medical Assistants
- CCMA - National Healthcareer Association
- NRCMA - National Registry for Medical Assistants
- NCMA - National Center for Competency Testing
- NCCT - National Center for Competency Testing
- AMT Certified Medical Assistant
