Job Summary
Medical Assistant provides clinical support in Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology outpatient settings. Duties include registering new patients, assisting during procedures, taking vital signs, scheduling external labs and follow-ups, obtaining clinical documents for charts, updating medical records, organizing examination rooms, sterilizing instruments, disposing of contaminated supplies, following up on patient calls, scheduling and coordinating dictation, and assisting with verifying health insurance. Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience); CPR certification; MA certification preferred; willing to travel between Southern San Diego clinics. 2+ years of MA experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred Certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Current CPR certification
