Job Summary
Medical Assistant (FLOAT) at Brewer Medical Center seeks a versatile MA to support providers, assist with patient care, room patients, administer vaccines and medications, draw blood, manage charts, and support pre-visit planning and other clinical requests across teams. You will collaborate across clinical and administrative staff to ensure high-quality visits, adherence to quality standards, and a positive patient experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Evidence of Medical Assistant training including all the essential job functions, knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here in this job description, or MA Certification required.
- Will have up-to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute. Must obtain within 2 weeks if not current at hire.
- Initial and maintained Certification is highly encouraged and supported.
