Medical Assistant-Float (Based in Palm Coast)

Job Summary
Assists nurses or providers with procedures and examinations while performing CLIA waived laboratory procedures and collecting blood or tissue specimens. Conducts health assessments including vital signs, maintains examining room stock and cleanliness, and prepares patients for provider visits. Documents accurately in the medical record, serves as a patient educator on health issues and treatment procedures, and administers medications as directed by the physician. Participates in the Health Disparities Collaborative by collecting data and educating patients. Requires current Florida medical assistant certification and Basic Life Support Certification. Full-time Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am-6:30 pm, with float coverage to other locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Professional license/Specialized training, One-year certificate from college or technical school
- Completion of formal training program as a medical assistant
- Current and valid Florida medical assistant certification
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
