Job Summary
Assist physicians, nurses, and medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under provider direction. Schedule appointments, maintain medical records, and prepare treatment rooms for patient exams. Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients to obtain medical history, and measure vital signs including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient files while cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment. Work onsite daily at 1252 Wyoming St., Boulder City, NV, with flexibility to float to all regional locations as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Display knowledge of medical terminology
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Maintain a high level of professionalism
- Proficient in MS Office and patient management software
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Pass a minimum of one exam from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work extended hours as operational needs dictate
- Must be able to work onsite on a daily basis
- Must be able to float to all other locations as directed by the supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in phlebotomy or laboratory work
