Job Summary
Medical Assistant Float provides patient preparation, takes histories, documents in EMR, assists physician during exam, supports biopsies/excisions/suture removals, prepares specimens, notifies patients of results, and schedules follow-up appointments. Maintains clean and stocked exam rooms, cleans and autoclaves instruments, and assists back office with routine duties. Requires a High School Diploma, Medical Assistant training, and 2-3 years of experience in a medical office; dermatology/cosmetic experience is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Strong communication, organizational skills, teamwork, compassion, and patient-care focus are essential. Role is at multiple locations in Arizona with in-person duties; benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, disability, 401(k), PTO, holidays, and other programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required
- Medical Assistant training is required
- Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant
- Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred
- Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Strong phone etiquette
- Teamwork
- Professional in appearance and mannerisms
- Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working on electronic medical records
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
