Medical Assistant (Flex) - Hemet

Medical Assistant position at Planned Parenthood Health Center in San Diego, CA. The MA supports reproductive health care services under medical supervision, assists with testing, screening, and education, helps ensure high-quality, efficient care, screens clients, prepares exam rooms, and covers front office as needed. Responsibilities include back-office duties (obtain medical history, education on abortion and contraception, basic lab tasks such as Hgb, pregnancy tests, venipuncture, injections, specimen handling, vital signs, room sterilization) and front-office tasks (greeting clients, phone/fax management, scheduling, insurance verification, billing reconciliation). Provide abortion referral and education, participate in patient flow and quality initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Compensation ranges from $23.00/hour to $23.75/hour with additional differential for Flex positions and mileage reimbursement. Located in San Diego, CA; equal opportunity employer.
