Job Summary
Coordinate patient flow, manage charting, and perform point-of-care glucose testing and hemoglobin spot checks in the EHR. Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare treatment areas for procedures, and sterilize instruments while documenting vital signs and weight. Administer injections, conduct routine laboratory tests, and operate diagnostic equipment like the EKG. Answer telephone inquiries, explain fee schedules, and assist clients with intake forms and consent signatures. Ensure HIPAA compliance by securely handling patient data and maintaining clean, tidy patient care areas. Schedule ordered tests, verify insurance authorization, and address patient grievances per policy.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate
- Current CPR Certification
- Access to automobile
- Valid California driver's license
- State mandated automobile insurance
- Ability to speak Spanish
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Familiarity with the Hispanic culture
