Job Summary
Triage patients, measure vitals, and record information on charts. Perform blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab work completion. Administer medications and immunizations under provider direction. Set up procedures as instructed and prepare treatment rooms for examinations. Bring patients from the waiting room to exam rooms. Requires graduation from a Medical Assistant program or active RMA/CMA designation, plus BLS certification. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program
- Active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation
- 6 months of experience in a relevant environment
- BLS through American Heart Association
- CNA state license
- Phlebotomy certificate
- EMT-A
- Paramedic
- CMO approval
Desired Qualifications
- Prior recent experience in a healthcare setting, such as an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic
- American Safety Health Institute certification
- National Safety Council certification
