Job Summary
Medical Assistant for FastMed responsible for assisting providers with exams, procedures and patient care activities including triaging patients, measuring vitals, drawing blood and collecting specimens, administering medications and immunizations under provider direction, and preparing treatment rooms for examinations. Requires graduation from a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA designation or at least 6 months of relevant experience; completion of CCMA examination or CMA/RMA credentials accepted. BLS certification required; EMT/paramedic or CNA with phlebotomy credentials also considered. Strong emphasis on compassionate hospitality and teamwork in an urgent care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Medical Assistant program or equivalent OR active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation or active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) designation OR6 months of relevant experience
- Certification: BLS through American Heart Association is required; other certs (AHI or NSC) preferred; CCMA examination passing also acceptable
