Job Summary
Medical Assistant - Family Practice: performs select clinical functions under supervision, prepares patients for physical examinations, obtains specimens, conducts routine laboratory tests and may perform phlebotomy. Administers selected medications/injections under physician supervision and handles related clerical duties. Supports a busy Primary Care office with 4 providers and additional clinical staff. Requires a high school diploma or GED and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification with current CPR/BLS. A valid driver’s license is required if duties include off-site locations. Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime, evening, and Saturday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) OR CCMA certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
- Valid driver’s license required if off-site location duties
- Current certification/registration through AAMA, ARMA, NHA or equivalent certifying agency
