Job Summary
Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaints and medications, perform EKGs, and administer treatments while promoting healthy lifestyles and wellness education. Provide quality, compassionate care in a patient-family-centered environment for acute and chronic illnesses, gynecological care, and urgent services. This part-time, 95% FTE day shift role (Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM) requires certification as an MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA, or LPN licensure, with CPR/BLS certification upon hire. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Licensure as an LPN
- Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program
- Completion of an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program
- Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee
- Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated
- One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
- Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year
- Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire
- Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire (if applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure)
- CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
