Job Summary
Record patient histories, vital signs, and prepare exam rooms while assisting with exams, procedures, injections, and suture removal. Collect and prepare specimens for lab testing, schedule appointments, and manage administrative duties including answering phones and processing paperwork. Maintain clean and sterile areas, provide patient education, and respond appropriately to urgent situations. Candidates must demonstrate full competency and pass a skills assessment within 30 days of hire. This role supports the Family Medicine Suite 200, where compassionate care and efficient operations are central to the practice's mission.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate or AA Degree from a Medical Assistant program
- Certified Medical Assistant (e.g., NCCT or equivalent)
- Current BLS (CPR)
- Must demonstrate full competency and pass a skills assessment within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred prior MA experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Stay calm and professional in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable using EHR systems and performing multitasking duties
- Show compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality care
- At least 6 months in a patient care role or completion of formal training (e.g., CNA, EMT, GNA, or MA program)
