Job Summary
The Medical Assistant in Family Medicine is responsible for assisting providers with patient examinations and care coordination to enhance patient satisfaction and care delivery. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, documenting vital signs and medical histories, assisting with diagnostic procedures, independently performing ancillary services, managing medical records, and promoting patient wellness through education. Candidates should possess effective interpersonal skills and basic PC skills, with a high school diploma or GED being essential. Healthcare experience, particularly in a clinical setting, is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program
- 1 year of related clinical patient care experience within the last 5 years, preferred in lieu of a Medical Assistant program
Additional Requirements
- Safety-sensitive position under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act (OMMA)
