Job Summary
Room patients, collect patient information, and prepare individuals for examination while assisting with the overall delivery of patient care. Receive additional hands-on training to work at the top of scope, with EMT and CNA backgrounds welcome to apply. Obtain and maintain an active Washington State Medical Assistant credential within the required timeframe. Perform duties under a full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule at the Northern Star location in Vancouver.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current Washington State Nursing Assistant-Certification
- EMT training and certification
- Combination of experience and training resulting in a nationally recognized MA certification
- Completion of a formal MA program
- Formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces
- Current healthcare provider BLS
- Experience with an electronic health record
- Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas
- Applicant must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must obtain Washington State Medical Assistant credential within required timeframe and maintain in active status throughout employment
