Job Summary
Medical Assistant will support the Primary Care team at the Lee, NH location by performing clinical and administrative duties. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, interviewing patients to obtain medical information, documenting in the medical record, measuring weight/height, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, preparing examination rooms and equipment, explaining treatment procedures and instructions, collecting specimens and performing phlebotomy if competent, maintaining immunization inventory and administering vaccines as applicable, answering phones, completing insurance forms, and acting as a liaison with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care. The role operates onsite, with initial 30–90 day training then transitioning to four 10-hour shifts (Tue–Fri, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM) after training. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, strong interpersonal skills, onboarding support for junior MA staff, and collaboration within a team of five additional Medical Assistants, with direct 1:1 interaction with the provider.
Required Qualifications
- Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred
- BLS Certification preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- 1-2 years experience required (Direct MA experience or medical field work)
- Epic experience
- Ambulatory/Outpatient experience
- Primary Care experience
