Medical Assistant, Family Medicine

Assist with day-to-day clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Take vital signs, document patient information, and schedule appointments while managing patient flow. Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients to obtain medical data, and measure weight and height. Perform phlebotomy if demonstrated competence, maintain immunization inventory, and administer vaccines as applicable. Explain treatment procedures, order educational materials, and answer phones to act as a liaison with other departments. This role supports the Amherst Medical Associates family medicine practice, offering comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.
