Job Summary
Medical Assistant in a Family Medicine ambulatory setting, supporting clinicians in patient care and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include assisting providers to gather information relevant to visits, communicating with patients via phone and in person, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality care. Requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant work experience, or RN/LPN license in Utah, plus BLS certification. Primary shift is full-time, 40 hours/week at the Logan Clinic with 9-hour shifts on Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri, 7:00am–6:00pm clinic hours. Skills emphasized include patient communication, team collaboration, basic computer/EMR use, privacy protection (PHI), and ability to support the clinical team in outpatient care.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program
- OR
- at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience
- OR
- current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Utah
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers.
