Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments and education under physician or advanced practice clinician supervision. Perform Medical Assistant specific tasks while utilizing the nursing process to provide care. Maintain competency in interacting with patients based on their special needs and age. Ensure Basic Life Support certification is current prior to orientation completion. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience in a clinical setting
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association (AHA) approved
- Good communication skills
- Competent to provide care to patients utilizing the nursing process
- Knowledge of the basic principles of human growth and development
- Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply, based on age of the patient served
