Job Summary
Medical Assistant (MA) supports physicians, PAs, or NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing examination rooms, escorting patients, maintaining efficient patient flow, preparing information for visits, documenting in EHR, updating medication lists and allergies, scheduling appointments, stocking supplies, handling referrals, adhering to universal safety precautions, assisting in care transitions, providing scribing services, and traveling to satellite offices as needed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited MA or phlebotomy program; 0-1 year experience required with 2-4 years preferred; BLS within 30 days of hire; English communication; basic computer skills; travel to satellite offices may be required. Pay range is $22.02-$27.07/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required
- 0-1 year related work experience, required
- 2-4 years related work experience, preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required
- Basic proficiency in computer use, required
