Medical Assistant Externship Coordinator

Secure and manage a network of externship sites for Medical Assistant students, ensuring diverse placement opportunities across the medical community. Achieve and maintain a minimum 40% extern-to-hire conversion rate while conducting regular site visits to monitor student performance and address concerns. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including TWC regulations, and collaborate with Career Services to support students' transition to employment. Provide guidance on attendance, professionalism, and performance expectations, while conducting orientations and assisting with resume writing and interview preparation. Maintain accurate documentation, track student progress, and ensure completion of final evaluations and exit interviews. Promote the program through targeted outreach and networking.
