Job Summary
Room patients, obtain vitals and medical history updates, and document accurately in Electronic Health Records. Assist providers with clinical procedures and testing while managing prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment and contribute to daily team flow. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a combination of medical office and exam room settings. BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
- Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Must regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Must occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
