Job Summary
Coordinate patient care under direct supervision by preparing patients, administering diagnostic tests, and organizing medical records. Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, and electrocardiograms while documenting findings and collecting specimens using infection control protocols. Assist with special procedures like lumbar punctures and pelvic exams, maintain examination room cleanliness and supply levels, and handle clerical functions including insurance processing and phone triage. Requires a high school diploma, Medical Assistant training certificate, or 1–3 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate
- 1-3 years experience as a medical assistant
- 1-3 years experience as an emergency medical technician
- 1-3 years experience as a certified nursing attendant
- Valid certificate (for certified nursing attendant experience)
