Job Summary
Coordinate patient care under physician or nurse supervision by preparing patients, administering tests, and recording diagnostic laboratory results. Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, and special procedures like lumbar punctures while maintaining infection control standards. Collect specimens, document findings in medical records, and perform daily equipment calibration and room maintenance. Assist with chart preparation, process insurance forms, and manage clerical functions to ensure efficient patient flow. Requires high school diploma, Medical Assistant training certificate, or 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate
- 1-3 years experience as a medical assistant
- 1-3 years experience as an emergency medical technician
- 1-3 years experience as a certified nursing attendant
- Valid certificate (for certified nursing attendant experience)
