Job Summary
Conduct clinical and administrative support in outpatient primary and specialty care under a licensed clinician. Gathers and updates patient information and vital signs, prepares patients for visits, and performs diagnostic screenings. Administer medications and vaccines, collect specimens, and complete clinical documents while maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality. Manage instrument supply through inspection, decontamination, and sterilization, ensuring proper cold chain management. Perform environmental maintenance for clinical equipment in Dermatology, Mohs, Audiology, and ENT departments, adhering to OSHA standards. Coordinate patient care management with in-house specialties and community resources. Maintain BLS certification and complete mandatory educational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CMA or RMA certification preferred
- BLS required
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
- Basic knowledge of equipment used within Dermatology, Mohs, Audiology and ENT departments
- Demonstrates excellent professional judgement, phone skills and prioritization decision-making skills
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications, and electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
