Job Summary
Medical Assistant II in Endocrinology at Providence Medical Foundation. Works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties that support patient care in the endocrine clinic. Performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in clinical needs for the assigned clinic/location. Follows established policies, procedures, and regulations. Requires graduation from an accredited program or MA apprenticeship, or completion of two years of medical training or at least one year of MA experience with clinical skills (vital signs, injections, medication administration). Must obtain National Provider BLS from American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. Typically a full-time, daytime role based in Mission Viejo, CA, with a focus on patient-centered care and collaboration within a care team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- 6 months - Healthcare experience
- 6 months - Medical Assistant experience
- National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire (preferred)
