Job Summary

Gathers and updates patient information and vital signs, performs diagnostic screenings, and administers medications or vaccines as directed by a licensed clinician. Accurately collects specimens, sets up in-office procedures, and completes clinical documents while maintaining equipment and supplies. Coordinates patient care with in-house specialties and community resources, manages scheduling and outreach, and documents all activities into the electronic medical record. Maintains strict confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA guidelines and completes mandatory educational requirements and certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current CMA or RMA certification
  • BLS certification within 6 weeks of hire
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
  • Electronic medical record (EMR) experience

  • Associate's degree program
  • 0+ years of experience
  • Demonstrates excellent professional judgement, phone skills and prioritization decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs
