Medical Assistant - Endocrinology

Job Summary
Gathers patient data through interviews and observation, assists patients with examination preparation, and supports physicians during procedures. Documents treatments and patient education per department policies, enters medication and diagnostic imaging orders into the electronic medical system, and acts as a patient liaison for scheduling and specialty testing. Processes incoming and outgoing calls using clinical judgment, participates in quality assurance activities, and ensures compliance with infection control and Orlando Health standards. Requires current BLS certification and a recognized Medical Assistant credential. Full-time Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Tampa, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school
- Verifiable applicable work experience in a patient care setting
- Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
