Job Summary
Perform phlebotomy, process specimens, and administer injections including intramuscular, subcutaneous, and topical medications. Conduct ECGs, place Holter monitors, and download telemetry data while maintaining clinic flow and intervening in emergencies. Document data in the Electronic Medical Record, obtain patient history, and assist with scheduling and check-in/out activities. Manage clinic supplies, perform high-level disinfection and sterilization protocols, and complete required trainings such as CPR. Requires a Medical Assistant program completion, CMA/RMA certification preferred, and Basic Life Support certification. Earn $19.00-$28.50 hourly at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Outpatient Center in Lincoln Park.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant program
- 0 – 3 years of relevant clinical experience
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
