Medical Assistant, EMT Occupational Medicine

Job Summary
Conduct triage, take vital signs, and document patient histories in the EMR system while preparing patients for examinations and treatments. Collect laboratory specimens, administer medications and injections, and perform clinical procedures such as starting IVs, placing catheters, and splinting. Assist with occupational medicine services including drug screening, breath alcohol testing, and pulmonary function testing while enforcing HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Operate office medical equipment and oversee quality assurance programs for CLIA waived laboratory requirements. Travel to other locations as needed to support staffing. Full-time Monday-Friday shifts with competitive pay, benefits, and 401K match.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 1+ year of healthcare experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture
- Proficiency in injections
- Proficiency in clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- A positive, proactive approach to patient care
- Collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Urgent care experience
- ER experience
- Willingness to train outstanding new graduates
- Experience using EPIC software
